"Lovely hotel, friendly staff" I stayed at the Le Meridien with 3 friends (they are Australians and usually highly critical of hotel rooms/breakfast etc!) However, even though we arrived at 1am after a delayed flight, the staff were kind enough to keep the bar open so we could have a drink (the bar normally shuts at 1). This was before we had gone to our rooms, which we found to be clean, spacious and perfectly adequate for our 2 night stay. Breakfast was good - an interesting variety of food, and we all enjoyed it. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, and the friendly reception staff gave us a leaflet explaining the bus times, and how to get into Hamburg city centre. Although the weather was very cold (snowing) the rooms were lovely and warm. We had the window open for a bit of fresh air, and barely noticed the traffic on the autobahn. Generally, I would say that this is a very good hotel, at a very reasonable price, and we all agreed we would happily stay there again.

"Great Hotel with very friendly staff" I stayed here with my wife and daughter for 3 nights and was a little worried about it after reading the negative review given by someone who stayed in September but was very pleased with the hotel.It has a very nice entrance and reception area, with the bar and lounge area being very comfortable. The Breakfast was excellent serving a hot buffet and an extensive continental breakfast. The rooms are large and bright with nice bathrooms and have a tv with in house movies & a mini bar, you can also have breakfast served in your room if you wish. There is also a Spa area which includes a decent fitness room and a pool plus an area where you can have a massage etc. The hotel is close to the Autobahn (A1)about 10km from Hamburg so a car is really needed but there is a bus stop out side. I would think that in the summer there may be some noise from the Autobahn if you are in a room facing it (it is about 750 Metres away) and open the window (no air con) but most rooms face away from it and when we opened the window it was very quiet, some rooms overlook a large nature reserve.

"Very cosy hotel in the outskirts of hamburg!!!" My Fiance and I are SPG members, therefore we were looking for a Starwood Hotel in Hamburg- that's how we found the Le Meridien Hamburg Stillhorn. Arriving by car, which was the perfect way- due to the motor-highway being so close to the hotel- we expected a loud hotel but we were positively suprised when we arrived in the lobby of a old english countryhouse. We already felt very comfortable... The rooms were nice, very clean but the word for the house is cosy. The staff was very helpful for everything and very friendly. It felt like coming home!!! Not the typical coolness you find in hotels.... We will definetely go back there---hoepfully soon!!!
