"I would stay there again."
Very Nice Hotel! The location is good (only 5 minuite walk from the harbor shopping and stores), friendly staff, great rooms, fast elevators, next to a train station, tour bus stop next to hotel, and nice lobby. |

"a good 5 day lads trip"
Myself and a mate booked a holiday on the cheap through ryain air and thought the money saved in flights we would spend on a "posh" 4 star hotel.
i have to say as i walked up to it i thought that we could have been well stitched up as from the outside it looks awful.
inside though pleasantly surprised, nice lobby staff were all helpful at the reception. rooms ok not great but did the job. pool and sauna great as long as you like going "natural" as the all seem to like doing.
bar at the top full of pilots and posh loaded people hance the price of 4.50 euro for a glass of beer, not even pint!!
they did not mind us bringing wine back in to the rooms or from what i remember KFC buckets at 3 in the morning!!
good hotel at night as its sooooo tall you can see it from anywhere and never lose your way home even when you have to shut one eye to read!!
all in all a good place and suited our "proffesional needs"

"An excellent hotel we will use again and again"
My boyfriend and I have stayed here twice so far and will go back. Having lived in Hamburg, I knew this would make a handy base (near Dammtor and the beautiful Planten an Blomen park) so it was a bonus that the hotel and its facilities were excellent. I really do not understand all the negative criticism. On the second visit we stayed 2 floors down from the disco and we didn't hear a thing. The bar and disco on the top floor is small but gives you a fantastic panorama of the Hamburg skyline.
The hotel food is also very good. As well as breakfast, we dined at the Trader Vic's in the evening. This hotel restaurant is ranked quite highly in many of Hamburg's good food guides and has a great, nautically-themed ambience. Although pricey, you get what you pay for.
The hotel staff are also very helpful and polite, the rooms are spotless and comfortable. I really could not fault anything about our stays here.

: "Very Pleasant Stay"
Stayed there for one night during a recent trip to Hamburg. I was given a room on the 21st floor with great views of the city and the Aussenalster lake. Although the hotel rooms are mostly in need of a makeover, my room was very clean and had nice amenities such as bathrobes, cosmetic products and plenty of magazines. WiFi is provided free of charge. Staff responded quickly and friendly to all my needs and requests. The hotel has a nice fitness area with a work-out room, a swimming pool, a bar and a spacious sundek. Trade Vic's restaurant in the basement offers great tropical cocktails for happy our, and you definitly can't beat the views from the rooftop bar at night. Also the location is very good: The hotel is part of the Hamburg Congress Center, the Dammtor train and subway stations are next door, and both the city center and the Gänsemarkt area are within walkin distance. All in all a very pleasant experience. I have staid there before, and I would definitly stay there again.
